HIGHLIGHT
Drilling at Muirs Reef, Mamaku Region
A 10 hole diamond drill programme commenced in August 2008
over the historic Muirs Reef Gold Deposit (production 43,642 oz
gold circa 1930’s). A high-level epithermal system is indicated by
broad mineralised intersection in the first diamond drill hole,
namely 30m @ 1.2 g/t Au and 6 g/t Ag, confirming a mineralised
system to 75m depth. Drilling will continue apace in the Muirs
and Massey Reef areas, potentially extending north and south
into Glass Earth's Otawa and Gibraltar prospects, considered to
represent, with Muirs Reef, one large continuous alteration and
quartz-veined system over 5,000m in length.
